Photo Edition

This past week the doctor was in Lima for some sort of business or something, so we had a little down time. There wasn't a ton of stuff that happened. I started teaching a swim class with Taylor and Stephanie. During February they have Carnival, it is not like the brazilian carnival. Basically just a water fight, and give you a pass to wet random strangers on the road. We had some kids over and "played" carnival as they called it. It was fun, that turned into a throw people into the mud. I decided no water fight ever ends well, it always goes a little too long.

On friday it was raining, when it rains no one come to the clinic and everything gets really muddy and slippery. Robbie, Taylor, Russell, and I decided to go fishing, instead of sleeping in. Our plan was to just go to Yarina, which is like a lake with lots of little tourist boats, and see if we could rent a canoe or something. We met Miguel, a tourist boat guy who offered to let us take his 20 ft boat to fish. We soon realized the boat was a little to big to maneuver with just tiny paddles. So he ended up coming with us, he lent us fishing rodes and bought bait for us. All together we paid like 4.50 for 2 1/3 hours of fishing, it was a lot of fun.
